Windows 10: Troubles with Windows 11 and Dell Laptop

Dear community,Last month I encounter a lot of troubles with my Dell laptop with Windows 11 Home. It is unstable, impossible to update and third party software generates black screens or blue screen of deaths or doesn't do anything at all. I am really out of options now after days of trial and error and today I saw a lot of errors in Windows event Viewer WMI, Dell software related, .NET related and application errors which could possible be related, but I have no clue what and how to solve this.I have tried un- and reinstalling third party software, but also .Net framework. As of this moment

I want to disable touchpad on Dell laptop


Hello everyone,
My laptop's touchpad works and I don't want it to, because I prefer a mouse. It's a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series on windows 10 OS.

What I have tried that hasn't worked:

• start<settings<devices<mouse & touchpad<additional mouse options. This opens a window called Mouse Options which has 5 tabs up top, none of which involve the touchpad. The Hardware tab shows 2 devices: the mouse itself, and the USB. No touchpad there.
• windows key+x<mobility center. No touchpad to be found.
• various function keys. No options for touchpad on/off.
• device manager<mice and other pointing devices. Again, only the mouse and usb show up. It appears the touchpad is working without a driver, which is a little spooky.

Any other suggestions? I could try downloading a third party driver, but that seems like a step in the wrong direction.

Windows 11 Dell laptop

Using the Print Screen Key in Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 8

• To capture the entire screen:
  Press the Windows logo key + PrntScrn key together.
  On tablets, press the Windows logo button + the volume down button together. (The screenshot is saved in the Screenshots folder in the Pictures folder.)
  

• To capture all active windows:
  Press the PrntScrn key.
  

• To capture a single active window:
  Tap or click on the window you want to capture.
  Press the Alt + PrntScrn keys together.
  

Fine but Pictures > Screen Shots does not exit on either of my two DEll Windows 11 laptops; where else could screen shots be stored?

 

Windows 11 upgrade eligiblity for Alienware Dell laptop

I have a 3-year-old Alienware 13 R3 Dell laptop that "doesn't currently meet the minimum system requirements to run Windows 11". I've checked the requirements and my current setup seems to meet them all. I rang Dell to check if they could tell me what I could upgrade on my specification and they told me it's not that my laptop doesn't meet the minimum technical requirements, it's simply that Microsoft has not listed this model as being eligible for Windows 11. Are the eligibility lists likely to be reviewed?
