Windows 10: my Bitlocker is locking me out every time i shut down PC after doing standard file...

I connected my 2tb to my brand new build and after that decided to get my old stuff on my other pc. upon connecting it and transferring the needed files and plugging it back into my new build i got the bitlocker notification and now everytime i shut down my pc and come back later it turns out i cant use any files on my pc until i put in the code that i cant even copy and paste. i only have windows 11 home, nothing else.

Bitlocker frequently locking computers

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately these suggestions don't really fit our needs. We want to use BitLocker and don't want to disable it. The problem we have is that it locks some of our computers from time to time. Ideally we will make use of BitLocker but not have it blocking our computers.

I have tried:

1. Turning off BitLocker
   
2. Installing all Driver and Windows Updates
   
3. Turning BitLocker back on again
   

Maybe this will help. We will wait and see.

 

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

 

Massive Security Flaw - Bitlocked Files Can Be Opened From "Recent Files" ...While "Locked" and Without Password!

Simple steps to reproduce:

1. Unlock a bitlocked drive.
   
2. Open a file from that drive (example = image file)
   
3. Reboot machine, confirm drive is relocked.
   
4. From "Recent Items," attempt to open the file
   
5. The file opens, even though the drive is locked
   

WHOA!

Obviously this is a massive security problem that should never occur, but is there a user-implementable fix?
