Ricoh printer not connecting to pc.

Have Vaio laptop with Windows 10. Ricoh SP C250dn printer. Printer is connected to wireless network and has been added to pc. Ip adresses match on both wireless network/router and printer. Printer still not connecting to pc. Have checked port and
tried a static address .

 

connecting printer Ricoh Aficio FX200 to Win10

I recently purchased a Toshiba laptop running Windows10 64 and I cannot get my old Ricoh Aficio FX200 connect and print even after downloading the presumably (PCL6 generic driver) right driver from Ricoh web site.

I only see my printer in the :unspecified" devices from the "printers and devices" page but is never detected when I try to install it by adding printer.

Unfortunately my skills are limited and I'd need a step by step type of help on how to proceed assuming there is a solution!

Can someone spend a minute to help?

I tried everything. No point in downloading the Scanner Driver for USB because the printer cannot be detected by USB. I still tried it though. Scanner Driver for ethernet still doesn't work.

I have all of the software installed for Ricoh. I've never been to Windows Fax and Scan before. When I went there and clicked on scan, it said no scanners were detected. Based to what you're saying, I should be able to use the scanner via ethernet connection. It looks like both the printer and scanner are defective. The printer cannot be detected through USB and the scanner doesn't work through ethernet connection.

I guess it's time to buy a new printer.
