Windows 10: Get the full HDR brightness in Windows Desktop and Office?

Dear All,I have a Lenovo Pro 9i 16 I think also called Lenovo Slim 9i 16 in some regions. The laptop has the miniLED screen which has a max brightness of ~640 nits in SDR, and 1000 nits or more in HDR.I often work outside and would benefit from as much brightness as possible. Therefore, my question: Can I somehow get the 1000 nits or 900 nits or similar in the Windows desktop, Office Word, Excel, Teams, etc, which means HDR brightness without playing HDR content. For example, on the Apple MacBook Pro there are tools e.g. Better Display which allow this.I have tried the HDR calibration

Windows 11 is changing my screen brightness while I am actively using Apps

Could you confirm if HDR is enabled on your system? If not, To enable HDR and Auto HDR in Windows 11, please follow these steps:

1. Enable HDR in Windows 11:
   
   • Navigate to Settings > System > Display.
     
   • Toggle on "Use HDR" under the "HDR" section.
     
2. Enable Auto HDR:
   
   • Within the same Display settings, toggle on "Use Auto HDR".
     

Once HDR and Auto HDR are enabled, you'll notice the "SDR content brightness" slider under the HDR settings. Now, proceed to adjust the SDR content brightness slider:

1. Adjust the SDR Content Brightness Slider:
   
   • The SDR content brightness slider regulates the brightness of non-HDR content, such as the desktop and file explorer, when HDR is enabled. This adjustment may potentially resolve the issue you're facing.
     

If the issue persists after these adjustments, you may consider the following troubleshooting steps:

• Connect a different monitor to your PC to determine if the issue lies with your monitor or your PC.
  
• Alternatively, if you're experiencing significant difficulties, reverting to Windows 10 could be an option to explore.

HDR too bright

thanks I can reduce brightness from nvidia panel or even the monitor panel but no matter I get pain in my eyes only when hdr enabled

 

Windows 11 Changes Brightness automatically when i enable HDR !

Goodmorning everyone.

So i bought my new monitor few days ago (Alienware AW2723DF 1440p) for my PC ,which supports HDR 600.

When i enable HDR under Monitor's option menu Windows 11 will change the brightness automatically depending on

what i'm viewing !

I notice that mainly while browsing (It happens on desktop as well). When i'm viewing a dark / black page the brightness goes all the way down and

when i open another tab with white in it ,the brightness goes all the way up!

Sometimes the brightness will be higher on the text which is white and the rest of the page if its dark the brightness will be

very low!

I searched on in internet for solution but nothing seemed to work for me ! The brightness slider is completely gone (HDR OFF)

and when i enable HDR there is only an option under Windows 11 HDR Section !

Any tips?
