Windows 10: Why can I NOT upload pictures from my Canon camera to my CP any more? I'm using Windows 10

I normally plug my camera to my computer via a USB cable which now seems redundant. What is the fix?

Can't upload pictures to my one day old windows 10 udgrade of Photos from my canon a2600.

Two days ago I was uploading pictures from my camera to my windows 8.1 Photos program simply by plugging in the cable to the computer and camera, selecting shots and done. New file created.

Now, with the upgrade to windows 10 yesterday, I get a 'select items to import from canon powershot a2600' window in front of the Photos home window with every thing disabled on the background window and the ability to include or exclude camera contents
from the pending import in the active window. From this window I can see the pictures, but I find no input to proceed with the the importing process, only the files to include in the import. Now, my pictures are held hostage in my camera. I looked at canon
drivers and got a new one, the camers is in the devices list, I'm missing something. HELP!

Connect Canon 350D camera to Windows 10

After downloading Windows 10 our computer ( upgrade W 7 to W 10) does not recognize the Canon camera anymore , so we can not import pictures. A Canon driver seems to be not available. Any suggestions to improve?

 

Canon cameras are not working on Win 10

Either of my Canon cameras are working since I've been on Windows 10. The cable is fine, the computer can detect the cameras, there's a "ring" when I plug it, but I can't download pictures or connect to the SD card as an external drive. The Device manager
can detect I have a Canon camera connected, but tells me the Driver is not installed. There is no driver on the Canon websites for those cameras.

I have installed the WIndows Media player, as suggested by somem to get the necessary driver, to no effect.

I have tried to unplugged all my USB devices before connecting my camera, to no effect.

I have tried to install all software suggested by Canon, to no effect.

The cameras are a Canon Powershot SX 130 IS and a Canon Powershot D20.

The problem seems to also exist on Nikon camera, as I've been reading around. No working solution seems to have been published as of now...
