Windows 10: My keyboard when i open my computer and press a key respond to wrong command.Can anyone...

My problem is that when i open my computer my keyboard when i press a key does wrong commands.For example when i open google and i press w the app closes or when i press the esc it is like pressing the windows key.I have found a solution but is tempory, when i press ctrl alt del keyboard works normal again.Can anyone help me please?

Keyboard keys not responding sometimes

Being that you are using a generic membrane style keyboard there is not much to go wrong with these and they are generally a really safe option in terms of reliability. You could open it up and check the circuit layer and clean it basically it will just be a PCB that has segregated banks of circuit traces that you can clean. You should also pull the key cap and inspect the membrane for the trouble keys make sure that they look like they are contacting the PCB as intended by actuating the membrane with the key cap off. Not much to go wrong if you have opened your computer you can open a keyboard like this. The USB maybe as it sounds like its intermittent i guess try the Keyboard on another PC if you can and see if the same result occurs Otherwise i would get it replaced if it has warranty. - - - Updated - - - Another thing to try would be search a keyboard tester website and test your keys. Membrane keyboards bank keys onto circuits because it cuts production costs so you can only press a few keys at a time before it locks out more keys being pressed simultaneously depending on how the banks are made its different across models. WASD should be able to be pressed with multiple keys at the same time because they know its used in games. You can kind of tell how your keyboard is banked by using something like this too. Random applications opening when pressing any key on the keyboard

• What is the make and model of the computer?
  
• Have you tried using an external keyboard?
  

In the meantime, you can try the methods mentioned below:



Disable Sticky and Filter keys:



You can also try to disable the Sticky keys and Filter keys and see if that helps in resolving the issue. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open
   Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for Run.
   
2. Type control and click on
   OK. This will open Control Panel.
   
3. Click on View by and select
   Large icons.
   
4. Click on Ease of Access Center.
   
5. Click on Make the keyboard easier to use.
   
6. Uncheck the checkbox for Turn on Sticky Keys and Turn on Filter Keys.
   
7. Click on Apply and OK.
   

Disable WindowsInkWorkspace:



To disable WindowsInkWorkspace, please follow the steps mentioned below:



Note: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly.
Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.



Follow the steps to take backup of registry.

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open
   Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for Run.
   
2. Type regedit and click on
   OK.
   
3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsInkWorkspace
   
4. If you don’t find WindowsInkWorkspace key then, right click on
   Microsoft key, click on New and click Key.
   
5. Rename the new key as WindowsInkWorkspace.
   
6. On the right hand pane, right click select
   New, and click on DWORD (32-bit) Value.
   
7. Rename the key as AllowWindowsInkWorkspace.
   
8. Double click on the value and set the value as
   0.
   
9. Restart the computer.
   

If the issue persists, I suggest you to use an external keyboard and check if you are facing the same issue.

Keyboard shortcut Alt key not working

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: You may check if the ALT key is functioning correctly in on-screen keyboard. It will help us to verify if there is any issue with the keyboard.

Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.

• 
  Windows + Q, type OSK (on-screen keyboard)
  
• 
  And check if it works
  

Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
