    Multiple instances of powershell open in task manager and using up alot of memory.


    Everytime I turn my computer on microsoft powershell opens and runs multiple instances of itself. I can end the task in task manager but if I restart my computer then it just reopens on start up. I am worried this is some crypto miner or something and would love some help fixing it.

    No restart button in task manager

    another easy way to kill tasks, download and install Winaero Tweaker(free) and theres a setting to add a Kill non responding tasks using the desktop right click menu. When you place your cursor on the desktop anywhere and right click the option is at the top of the list, Very handy and you dont have to go through all those steps and well Winaero Tweaker has alot of cool Windows tweaks. Just posting a different suggestion, Im sure your ok with what was suggested here.

    Task Manager showing multiple instances of the same apps/programs

    Hello please have a look at the uploaded images above. You can clearly see that most of the programs are being shown multiple times in my task manager. Sometimes it 2 and sometimes more then that. The svchost.exe alone has almost 73 instances being shown in the task manager. The same is for Discord only one instance of it is running on my pc and the task manager is showing Discord to be running 6 times at the same time. There are many others which are being shown in the screenshots. I have deleted only the ones that I know of. Most of them I do not even know which software/app they belong to. I have Emisisoft Anti-Malware running on my pc and it shows no viruses or malware on my pc. Can someone please tell me what there are so many instances of the same program being shown in the task manager. This multiple programs are definitely draining resources of my pc. Also if someone can explain the various programs being run on my pc which I can get rid of from my task manager list please let me know. Thanks in advance.
