Windows 10: How to permanently disable spatial sound.

I have a Windows 11 Alienware system, and an SSL 12 audio interface. Every so often, at power on, my computer will auto-enable spatial sound for my SSL12's outputs, which I don't want to happen. I would go and disable the feature in the System>Sound>Properties area, but it just auto-enable itself again, at another system start up. How can I permanently prevent this from happening?

The Spatial Sound feature is available in Windows 10 but by default, it has been disabled. To enable it, follow the steps below:

• In the notification area, right-click on the sound icon.
• In the context menu, click on Playback devices.
• Select your playback device and then click on Properties.
• Click on the Spatial sound tab.
• Select the Spatial sound format you want to apply.

How to disable spatial sound permanently?

OK, I understand. It's hard for me to try and make sure you have tried all the steps I've suggested. I really don't mean to sound patronising (if I do). I just want to help you resolve your problem.

Can we try the following:

Connect your headphones to your PC.

Right click on your volume icon in your system icons and choose "Open sound settings"

In the sound settings window, on the right hand side, click on "Sound control panel"

In playback devices, click on your headphones to select them. Then click on the properties button.

In the properties window for your headphones, click on the Spatial sound tab.

In the Spatial sound format area, click the drop down box and select Off.

Click Apply and then OK at the bottom.

Now try and see if the problem resolves.

I followed the instructions but when I got to #4 spatial sound said off and there was no other info or any way to turn it on. I hit return to default but that did nothing. Please help. my earphones are off .
