Windows 10: Error Code: 0x80004005

Bought Windows 10/11 Pro in 2019 and has worked on my PC until 2 days ago. I turned on my computer and it said windows wasn't active and my pc couldn't connect to internet. No matter what I did to fix the internet I couldn't I use ethernet but attempted Wi-Fi too So I decided to just do a complete wipe of my pc and only put the 30gb of stuff I needed onto a drive. I did the full wipe and it had a PC crash the first time so nothing changed and so I did it again and it worked perfectly and my internet works again but my windows says "Windows enterprise" and also says "We can't activate Windows

I have looked over many other posts about this, all with the same error code, but with a different problem.

I have a computer thats a few years old, it has an ABIT kn8-sli motherboard, and its running off windows XP.

I was having problem with the hard drive before I gave up on it awhile back, and now I have come back and resolved that problem, but now when I get to the login screen and type in the password it says its in need of an update, then when it asks me if I want to update I click Yes, and then it says it won't work due to error 0x80004005.

The only operating system I have currently is windows 7. Do I need to go buy a new OS or is this recoverable?

The error code 0x80004005 is usually get if the Windows update file is corrupted. We would like to get more information about this concern. Please answer the following questions:

• Are getting the error code only when transferring a specific file to your PC?
• Have you tried transferring the same file from USB to a different computer?
• Were you able to transfer files using the same USB to your computer before the issue started?
