  2. Help Create a FarBar Fixlist

Hi, I've been having problems lately related to BSOD error code : CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED.
I don't quite know what's causing it, but everytime I connect to the internet it drains my battery a lot. It won't let me open event viewer because it just lags so badly. Been asking around, and I think it might be some sort of mining malware. I have tried using MalwareBytes to fix it, but it's still having BSOD after.

Anyway, I was wondering if I can send in my FarBar scan result and see if anyone could help me detect and fix the problem.
    Here are the files :

I would be so grateful if somebody could help fix this.

    Thank you so much.

  3. Help Create a FarBar Fixlist

    Hi Dimas,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

The "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED" error in Windows is a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error that indicates a critical system process has stopped working. This error can be caused by various factors, including hardware issues, corrupted system files, driver problems, or malware infections.

    1. Check for Hardware Issues:

    - Ensure that all your hardware components are properly connected and functioning. Loose or faulty hardware can sometimes trigger this error.

    - Run hardware diagnostics to check for any hardware problems. Most computer manufacturers provide built-in diagnostic tools that you can access during startup.

    2. Update Drivers:

    - Outdated or incompatible device drivers can cause system instability and BSOD errors. Visit the manufacturer's website for your computer or individual hardware components (such as graphics card, network adapter, etc.) to download and install the latest drivers.

    3. Check for Software Conflicts:

    - Sometimes, third-party software or drivers can conflict with system processes. A "clean boot" starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program. How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support

    4. Run System File Checker (SFC):

    - Open a Command Prompt window as administrator.

    - Type `sfc /scannow` and press Enter. This command will scan and repair corrupted system files.

    - Allow the process to complete, and follow any instructions if issues are found.

    5. Check for Disk Errors:

    - Run the built-in "Check Disk" utility to scan and repair disk errors.

    - Open a Command Prompt window as administrator.

    - Type `chkdsk /f` and press Enter. You may need to restart your computer to allow the tool to check and repair the disk.

Disclaimer: Running chkdsk can check the file system and file system metadata of a volume for logical and physical errors. To avoid any trouble for you, do not cancel or interrupt chkdsk, and back up important data.

    6. Review Event Viewer Logs (if possible):

    - If your computer is stable enough to access Event Viewer, examine the logs for any recurring errors or warnings that might provide clues about the cause of the critical process termination.

A Minidump file (.dmp file) is a type of file that is automatically created by the Windows operating system in the event of a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) or system crash. These files contain detailed information about the crash and are often used to analyze the problem and identify the root cause of the problem.

Minidump files are usually stored in the following location: C:\Windows\Minidump, You can share them here, I will help you analyze it.

I hope this helps. If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely
