Windows 10: My microsoft doesn't let me access the BitLocker recovery key after 30 days

I submitted a Microsoft account security update on April 17, 2025. The system said it would unlock on May 17. On May 17, I got the "Protect your account – add phone number" screen, but when I entered my info, I was thrown back to the "You can't access this site right now" message.I haven't restarted the 30-day timer and this loop has been happening for days. I need help manually unlocking my account. This is urgent.

Bitlocker recovery key

After Windows 10 update I keep getting a Bitlocker recovery key screen but I know that I had never turned Bitlocker on.

I have another problem because I forgot my Microsoft Account password so I wanted to do a reset to get access to the Bitlocker recovery key but no effect. Thus, I don’t have any access to my PC and the account security update requires 30 days.

How can I skip this 30 day period and regain access to my PC?

1. Are you not able login to your computer due to BitLocker Recovery Key?
2. Did you ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key on your computer?
3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.

Why does BitLocker Drive Encryption recovery key take 30-days to be re-issued ?

I have changed my log-in/password in my Windows 10 but when I follow Find your BitLocker recovery key - Microsoft Support and follow :-

In your Microsoft account. To get your recovery key, go to
BitLocker Recovery Keys.

I get message:-

You can't access this site at the moment

This site requires a security code to sign in. When your security info is updated on 02/10/2018 (Oct-02,2018), you will be able to access this site. You can still access sites such as Outlook and Skype that don't require a security code.

Why do I have to wait 30-days and is there any way of hurrying this up ?
