Windows 10: Removing unnecessary files from WindowsApps folder

    Removing unnecessary files from WindowsApps folder


    Hello, I've noticed that after uninstalling one of the apps from the Microsoft Store it left many unnecessary files in the WindowsApp folder. The app was Asphalt 8 Airborne. There is a folder left in the WindowsApp folder thats 4GB, and another one from previous instalation thats 2,5GB. As there is no way to normally access WindowsApp is there any way to remove those files?

    Unnecessary apps in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

    I see a lots of versions of the same app in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. These are apps that I don't even have installed. Overall they are taking up about 10GB.

    1. How can I remove these apps completely?
    2. Or can I keep only the most recent version?

    The storage sense
    suggested here     or disk cleanup of system files has not helped.

    It is already installed. In accordance with your suggestion, I have created a folder for it under Program Files and moved it there. Thanks. I would still be interested in understanding why I cannot get access to the WindowsApps folder, even after following all the steps I can follow online. Any insights please?
