Windows 10 - Projecting to other laptop - Protected content cannot be viewed on this device

I recently got a new job where I got a work laptop.

Since I now got two laptops I wanted to be able to use the second laptop as a secondary screen.

I can project from my old laptop to my new laptop, but since all of my stuff is on my new laptop I want to project from that laptop to my old laptop.

When I try this it says: Protected content cannot be viewed on this device

    Extra info:

    • I've tried disabling firewall
    • I've tried enabling every sharing option
    • Both Dxdiag saves say: Miracast: Available, with HDCP

I know I can just use a program like Mouse without borders or Synergy since I have always used them in the past, but I would love this feature work so that it becomes "one" laptop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't Project my Screen on pc

    Hello Obaro Nduka,

Thank youn for posting Microsoft Community.

We're here to help. Regarding your concern you may follow the steps provided below:

    • Use a USB cable to connect to your Windows device.
    • Start the Project My Screen app on your Windows device.
    • On your phone, tap Yes when prompted to allow screen projection.
Note: You can't use a USB connection to project content that's protected by Digital Right Management (DRM) -- for example Xbox Video. Projecting your screen with a USB connection is video only. You can still manage audio through your phone.

    Hope this helps.
