Windows 10: Mic is working then stopping in different applications

At my wits end, its been like this since i got this computerApplications like discord and teams work perfectly with my mic all the time. Zero issues. Than ANY kind of video game it's weird. It doesn't just not work, it either starts out working fine and then fully stops working then stops registering picking me up- and at the exact same time can be picking me up perfectly in discord??? It doesn't change if i have discord closed either. I geniunely don't know what to do. It's different for each game too, in one of them if i start talking in discord it usually catches up but in the other and th

USB Mic Problems.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

 

Microphone Stops Working After a While

My HyperX QuadCast X works fine initially, but after a short period of use, it stops working. To get it working again, I have to unplug it and plug it back in or disable and re-enable it in system settings. When I plug headphones into the mic, I can still hear myself even when the mic isn't working on the computer.

Steps I've Tried:

1. Updated motherboard and USB drivers.
   
2. Tried different USB ports, including USB 3.0.
   
3. Disabled USB power saving and USB selective suspend.
   
4. Reinstalled USB controllers.
   
5. Disabled exclusive mode in Sound settings.
   
6. Ensured HyperX NGENUITY software is up to date.
   
7. Ran Windows audio troubleshooter.
   
8. Tried using a powered USB hub (mic didn't get enough power).
   
9. Tested in Safe Mode.
   
10. Tried a different, high-quality USB cable.
    
11. Updated the mic firmware.
    
12. Tested on a different computer (same issue).
    

This issue also happened with an older mic I used. Has anyone else experienced this or have suggestions on what might be causing it?

Earphones Mic not working

Hi all,I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5577 Gaming laptop, running Windows 10 Version 1803 build 17134.165. My laptop has one 3.5 mm jack where I plug my Earpods (Apple's earphones with mic) to use it as headphones and mic always works but yesterday out of nowhere it stopped working. I checked my Earpods with my iPhone and the mic would work just fine but not with the laptop.

Realtek audio driver is already installed but there's no realteks audio icon to configure or make changes. When I connect my Earpods, I can hear through them but the mic doesn't work however if I speak close to the internal mic I can see that green bar moving up which exists in Sounds>Recording.

I updated the Intel graphic driver to the latest version 2 days ago and the Mic would work fine.

Few steps which I tried to fix the issue but didn't help:

1) Tried to setup mic: No go
2) Tried reinstalling/updating audio drivers: No go
3) Checked Microphone privacy settings and its ON
4) Unchecked Allow application to take exclusive control of this device: No go

Can someone help me on this?
