Windows 10: Need help changing my date of birth on my account as I'm not a child like it is set to.

Support and the information pages have been unable to help me and I have been sent here from support. My microsoft account has the wrong date of birth which is making my account appear as a child account restricting access to things like online gaming with friends. Trying to use the information provided I had made a different account and connected the two in a family safety group, from that I tried doing the manage consent as directed but it seemed to not work out and overall would send me back to the main page for the family safety. In short I just would like to change my main account to my a

How to change birth date of the child account?

I am unable to change the date of birth of my child's account, which was entered incorrectly.

The date of birth currently set is 2011 (which is should be 2002).

I have followed the instructions on this page:

As the account is set to 12 years old, the child is under the statutory age for my country.

The steps above say to perform the following actions for a child under the age of consent:

1. Using the adult Microsoft account, sign in to your account on family.microsoft.com.
   
2. Choose the family member, select then Manage consent.
   
3. In the Manage permissions page of the child’s account you want to change, at the right, select Edit this child's personal info and then follow the instructions.
   

In step 3, the Manage permissions page does not show "Edit this child's personal info". instead, it simply shows the below screen.

 

Change adult birth date to a childs birthdate.

If you set up an account with an adult birth date, then try to change it to a child's birth date, it will tell you you can't. I Changed my childs birth date to adult to access some things and now I
want to change it back to child. I'm beyond frustrated. Please help me!

If you get the same error as the person then it means that you are in one of the countries that require an adult for their consent, just follow the given links and steps and you should be able to change your child's date of birth.

And if everything doesn't work you can create a new account with the correct date of birth.
