  1. Turning OFF Auto Color Correction when HDR is ON

Just like the title, is there a way to turn OFF Auto Color Correction when HDR is ON?I have a 4k TV where it is connected to a PC with an AMD Discrete GPU. The problem is when HDR is ON, the windows' recommended resolution is 720p instead of 4k. At first, I thought this wasn't a problem since 4k reso can still be chosen as the resolution. However, when playing a game, specifically games without native support for FSR or any upscaling, RSR AMD's agnostic upscaler for those kind of games is not working properly, thus no upscaling happens Game's reso is set to lower than 4k. AutoHDR ON or OFF

  2. Is there any way to cut off the auto color correction in windows 11?

Hi, Tucan. I'm sorry to hear you're having this problem, and I hope I can assist you to find a satisfactory solution.

Yes, in Windows 11, you can disable the auto color correction feature. Here's how:

Open Settings: Click on the Start button and select the Settings icon (gear icon) from the left side of the Start menu.

Go to System Settings: In the Settings window, click on the "System" category.

Navigate to Display Settings: In the System settings, click on "Display" from the left sidebar.

Turn Off Auto Color Correction: Scroll down to the "Color" section. Under the "Advanced display settings" header, you'll see an option labeled "Change brightness automatically when lighting changes." Toggle this switch to the off position to disable auto color correction.

Adjust Other Color Settings (Optional): While you're in the Display settings, you can also adjust other color-related settings such as color profile, night light, and HDR settings according to your preferences.

    HDR mode and color profiles

    Hello

I have a calibrated ICC profile for normal sRGB mode. When i switch to HDR mode, it still using the calibrated profile, and giving weird colors and white balance.

I have tried to add a Rec.2020 HDR profile to ICC-profile (Advance color) list in color management. But I can´t use it at standard colors in HDR mode. Nothing happens when i try to applied it.

    So to be clear:

In normal mode I want to use calibrated icc profile for sRGB.

And in HDR mode, using the standard REC.2020 icc profile.

having trouble getting HDR color profile to be used

This may be a bit obscure, but I that someone out there can suggest a fix.

See my system listing for my hardware.

My system is HDR capable, and I have turned that on in settings.

I have produced a custom color profile my calibration using an X-Rite I1Display device and their I1Profiler software.

If I select that profile as default in Color Management, the display switches to the wrong colors about 15 seconds after I log in to Windows. (I can log out of the account and log back in, to the same effect. It obviously is not connected with a cold boot.)

I can manually re-select the custom file, and that will be applied after. (Until the next login.)

I'm probably doing something idiotic, but I haven't spotted it. Any suggestions?
