Windows 10: On Going Keyboard dilemma

This is a follow up to an old post with new information changing the original ?I have just reloaded Win 10 from MS, into my Lenovo T5. I did a clean install but didn’t re-format the M2 HD, maybe I should have but that shouldn’t make any difference. Now for the problem, when Win 10 starts up I can type the 4 numbers required into the password slot using the “Num Pad” & it opens Win 10 as it should, On some things that require numbers it will work there also. But that is very few things that you are required to type #’s in to do anything. The # pad will no

I suggest you to run the Power troubleshooter and check if it helps.

I suggest you to try the methods given below and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Follow these steps to run Power troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Power.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

6. Check if issue persists.

Method 2: I suggest you to the below steps to change the settings for keyboard and check if it helps.

• Press “windows+X” and go to “control panel”.
• Click on “device and printers”.
• Right click on the “Bluetooth keyboard” and click on “properties”.
• Under “hardware tab” click on the keyboard device and go to “properties”.
• Then under “general” tab click on “change settings”.
• Click on “power management” tab and uncheck the box “allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.
• Then click on “ok” and restart the computer, check if the issue persist or not.

Gaming Keyboard Dilemma

ATZ,

I have been through about 10 keyboards, and I am currently using (and LOVING) the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard.

I've tried the Logitech G15, Saitek Eclipse, numerous other non-gaming Logitech keyboards, Razer Lycosa, and the Illuminated Keyboard is my favorite. It's got laptop-type keys that are nice and clicky, but they have further key travel, so it's like desktop key travel with laptop keys. makes it a lot easier going back and forth between my laptop and desktop too. Good shortcuts, nothing too fancy, and FLAWLESS backlighting. I think I'll be keeping this one for a while.

 

Keyboard problem in Windows 10

I suggest you to check if the issue persists when you connect another keyboard to your system.

If the issue is with the keyboard, then suggest you to update the keyboard drivers by following the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.
  
• 
  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.
