Windows 10: I tried resetting my PC and now I have no storage space. Tried following different methods...

Hi all,I tried resetting my laptop but originally could not because I got the "could not find recovery environment" message. I saw you could reset using a USB for reinstalling windows and did that, but now it says my Local Disk C: is almost completely full 468 MB available of 26.5 GB after trying to update windows. I realize that's not a lot of space to begin with. One Microsoft Support page mentioned deleting partitions that weren't needed during the reset process but ran into an issue where I couldn't create a partition large enough to reinstall windows. I picked the only unallocated spa

to connect the external drive to your new PC. Also, can you tell us what troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

In the meantime, we suggest that you run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to perform a diagnostic process on your system that will check and fix issues related to Storage Spaces. To do this, please follow the steps below:

• Type troubleshooting in the Search bar, then press
  Enter.
  
• Click View all from the left pane.
  
• Locate and click Hardware and Devices to run the troubleshooter then follow the next steps.

Windows is not activated following "reset this pc"

Thank you @NavyLCDR, I tried your suggestions but still have the same issue.
@Superfly, My main issue is the fact that sppsvc.exe won't start and throws the Error 5 (Access Denied). I tried changing permissions, taking ownership etc. but still have the same issue.

I guess my next step is another restore :-(. I assume you mean a fresh install because the original issue was caused after I clicked "Reset this PC" option in system settings?

If a category can't show the folders that it contains, there is a possibility that the folders are somehow hidden. To maximize your PC's storage, follow the suggested steps in these links:
