Windows 10: Can not log into laptop as i have forgotten Pin and it's my only sign in option

Hello,I started my laptop today and the only sign in option is "Pin".I don't remember having a pin and can't change the sign in option to password.How do i get into my laptop?Thanks

Remove sign in pin

I suggest you to follow the below steps to remove the sign in pin/password options.

• In the search box type sign-in-option.
• Click on the sign-in-option.
• Then you can find password/pin/picture password.
• There you can remove the option and check.

I have forgotten my pin and neither the forgotten pin option or the use password option appear.

I usually sign in using the fingerprint scanner, but just now, my computer told me I needed my pin to log in, but I have forgotten my pin.

I tried signing in differently but I can’t choose to use my password, and the “I have forgotten my pin” button does not appear.

I don’t know if this is intentional or if it is a bug, but if anybody has had this problem or knows how to fix it or to log in anyways, I would appreciate the help.

 

Can I reset my PIN in order to sign in?

Hello, My surface laptop recently updated and is now requiring me to sign in with PIN. I always use face id to log in, and I have forgotten my PIN. Since I have forgotten my PIN, I cant sign in and there is not a "I forgot my PIN" option
