Windows 10: Why is my pc not detecting my USB device and boot looping

    Why is my pc not detecting my USB device and boot looping


    my pc is stuck in a boot loop and it just randomly started after my dad changed a setting im not sure of. Now we can't install a new windows onto it because it won't read out USB and we can only access BIOS gigabyte pc

    Windows XP boot looping when plugging in USB device

    Hi,

    I am using a USB adapter with my Windows XP.

    I plugged in a USB device into the USB adapter. Then my PC randomly started boot looping out of nowhere.

    What could have caused this?

    Suggestions for a fix please?

    Check in BIOS to see what order the Bootable devices are in.

    Is that USB Bootable?

    etc.

    Boot linux on USB drive

    it might just be that your bios doesn't support it, but it should anyway.

    make sure you go into the bios and make sure "boot other device" is enabled and try seeing if the usb is listed as an hdd.. as bootable flash drives are usually picked up as usb hdd's and check if your bios detects the flash drive.
