Windows 10: When I get to the 'Let's connect you to a network' section in the Reset PC process.

The problem I am having is that my internet connection setting is not listed. The 5 listed do not match mine. And there is option provided in the Reset PC process to manually input it. Can you help please?

Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

Windows 10 intermittently cannot make outbound connections

Because this connection problem happens on multiple PCs i would say it has nothing to do with Windows 10.

If this problem happens on single PC i would say reset TCP/IP protocol and reset firewall.

On Windows 10, you can also use the "Network reset" feature to fix Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity problems after installing an update or at any time that you can't connect to the network.

To reset the network adapters on your device, use these steps:

1. Open Settings.
2. Click on Network & Internet.
3. Click on Status.
4. Under the "Change your network settings" section, click the Network reset option.
5. Click the Reset now button.
   

 

TCP Connections are no longer getting reset on process termination

I appreciate your effort on this. To get the root cause of the issue, please reply with the following details:

• On which application are you facing this issue?
  
• Which process are you resetting?
  
• Which app are you using to reset the TCP connection?
  
• How are you resetting the process?
  

However, you can try performing network reset and see if that helps in resolving the issue. Please refer the section
