Windows Print Dialogue changes value for the copies field without user input

Web searches for this exact issue are proving fruitless, so I am making a post here in the hopes that offered solutions help others in the future.Got a colleague who has reported an odd issue when printing from a browser. They wish to use our print service's staple function and so they use "Print using system dialogue... Ctrl + Shift + P"When the subsequent window opens, occasionally if they click the up/down arrows to change the value for the "Copies" field, something happens that results in this value changing independent of user input. I am presently investigating this, but making this po

  2. No color management in print dialogue box

Why is the critical step of removing all old printer drivers (Step 5) in the Printui dialogue the same as Step 6 right clicking the printer in Devices and Printers to delete it and restart PC?

After you install the printer software in Print 8 you did a lot of other things with a Desktop app that are not in the list and unneeded. Why were these necessary instead of just selecting a .pdf document to print and trying it?

The reason I ask is that I've suggested these steps countless times and they have always worked if only they are followed, not adding a bunch of steps at the end.

    I hope this helps.

Windows 10 Print Dialogue is in Japanese when opened through Photos app

The Windows 10 print dialogue has suddenly changed to Japanese and I cannot understand anything. It always used to be in English until today, and I did not change it or set any secondary languages on my system. This also only occurs in the Windows 10 Photos
app, and is making printing images with the settings I need quite difficult.

Some additional background information that may be helpful:

    • I have had the Japanese Language Pack installed on my computer for several years now, as I need to use to input Japanese text through Microsoft IME. No other part of my computer has ever changed to Japanese, before or after installing the language pack
until today where the Windows 10 print dialogue suddenly changed languages.
    • The options within the drop-down boxes are all in English, except for the menu items/names. (See the screenshot below).

    • The Print dialogue was opened through the Photos app. I tried it in another app that uses the Windows 10 print dialogue and it had the dialogue in English.
Are there any settings to change this back without uninstalling the Japanese Language pack, or do I have to uninstall the Photos app and reinstall it? Lastly, just out of curiosity and learning how did this occur in the first place?

How to copy administrator user account

    Hi,

I suggest you to follow the below steps to copy the user date and check if it helps.

Note: I suggest to create a new user profile and transfer user data to new account and delete or change the corrupt user profile.

Copy User Data: Follow the below steps to copy files to the new user profile

    • Log on as a user other than the user whose profile you are copying files to or from.
    • In Windows Explorer, click View, and Check mark hidden files and folders, uncheck the
Hide protected operating system files check box, and then click
      OK
      .
    • Locate the C:\Users\Old Username folder, where
C is the drive on which Windows is installed, and Old Username is the name of the profile you want to copy user data from.
    • Press and hold down the CTRL key while you click each file and subfolder in this folder, except the following files:

    • Ntuser.dat

    • Ntuser.dat.log

    • Ntuser.ini
    • On the Edit menu, click
      Copy
      .
    • Locate the C:\Users\New Username folder, where
C is the drive on which Windows is installed, and New Username is the name of the user profile that you created in the "Create a New User Profile" section.
    • On the Edit menu, click
      Paste
      .
    • Log off the computer, and then log on as the new user.

Keep us informed if the issue is resolved. We are glad to help you further.
