Hi everyone,My laptop recently got infected with malware. Unfortunately, both my Instagram and LinkedIn accounts were compromised—I've managed to recover Instagram, but I still don’t have access to LinkedIn.My current laptop has a 512GB SSD and I also use a 1TB external HDD. I’m planning to switch to a new laptop with 1TB storage that comes with 1 year of McAfee antivirus. My questions:1. How can I safely transfer my data from both the SSD and external HDD to the new laptop without carrying over any potential malware?2. Should I trust McAfee for this, or use additional tools like Malwarebyt

    :)

    steps taken for infected Pc's.

I was hoping someone could give me a list of step by step instructions you use as a guide to clean virus, malware...etc. so I can keep my PC clean if it gets infected.

    thx

Best to wipe the system completely and reinstall without the infected personal files,

(of course accidentally installing a legitimate copy of Windows and not accidentally installing some malware ridden fake Key management server ).

Once install is complete, and fully activated, you can run antimalware procedures on the infected files offline and only transfer completely safe files back to the system

    Help with malware infection?

I have been infected by malware that has taken management rights on Edge. I also keep seeing notifications for “universal browser” updates. I went in my computer’s registry and deleted one suspicious file and have found a thing in ExtensionInstallForcelist called “1” with “Data” of random letters. I cannot modify it in any way. Help would be greatly appreciated.
