Windows 10: Why can't I get my computer to recognize my SHARP Roku TV as a monitor?

Hi,I am currently trying to use my TV as a second monitor. I normally have two onn monitors, but wanted to switch one of my monitors to my TV. I am using the same HDMI port on my TV that was working with my Nintendo switch last night. The only extra HDMI cord I have is an extender, one female one male on either side.Here is what I have tried:- Plugging the HDMI cord from both monitors into the extender, the only thing plugged into the computer is the power source.- I have used the HDMI extender to plug the TV directly into the PC- I have tried all 3 HDMI ports on my TV- I have restarted the TV

Computer not recognizing Roku TV

Hello.

I'm trying to set up my Roku for screen sharing, and I am at a loss. If I click Project or Connect, the only thing that pops up is my monitor(?). If I click "Find other types of devices", my mouse and keyboard are listed, all that appears under "Other Devices"
is my xbox one.

I spent a few hours trying to fix this the other day and I found a page that listed my Roku in some capacity, and now for the death of me, I cannot find it. Nor can I find many other people having this same issue, which makes me believe it's something with
my PC.

Anyways, wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I have the media sharing option on my Roku turned on, and both my computer and Roku are on the same wifi. Signal is strong on both.

Not able to project Windows 10 screen to Roku TV

I am using Sharp Roku TV and I usually connect my laptop through wireless adapter to this TV and work, from yesterday I am not able to do so.

The TV is not even getting listed in the devices when i search now, I tried factory reset on TV also but it did not help. What could be the reason for this , any suggestions for resolving this ? Thanks in advance.

 

Computer not recognizing Roku TV

I do have it set to private. I did try it with public too but it made no difference. However, I did figure something out. The page I was looking for but couldn't find (that I mentioned in my initial post) was the "Network" tab on the side bar of the file
explorer. My roku is listed there, but seemingly nowhere else.

While I don't think this is really relevant, but I should note I have an older-ish Roku (a Roku 3 / 4200x), however their website lists it as supporting all this stuff, and the device itself includes screen mirroring in the settings, so I don't think any
of that is related.
