Windows 10: Phone Link App Not Showing Pictures People sent. Comes up as file transfer View contents on...

The Phone Link App Is Not Showing Pictures People Send To Me. It comes up as "File Transfer View contents on phone." It's so annoying. I have gone through all the troubleshooting—updates, firewall, uninstalling and reinstalling, all the boxes checked in settings to receive photos, and Permissions. What else is there? It seems that If someone is sending from their camera roll. I don't get the pic but if they take a pic in the message I get the photo. Please Help ME I use this app for work all the time on my computer.

Window Phone App Links Not Working

Has anyone else come across or got any suggestions for why the links within the Windows Phone App (Metro not Desktop) do not work?

Connect my phone to my Windows 8.1 computer & the app opens correctly, showing & synching all my pictures under the 'On your phone' heading. These I can click on & view but not the apps listed in the other 2 sections - 'In the Store' & 'On the web'. Holding
the mouse over these icons makes them change to slide up & show the app name but clicking on them or the browse/do more links below ha no effect.

Not the end of the world but annoying nonetheless. Have tried uninstalling & reinstalling the app but no change. Any suggestions?

 

Sending pictures to an existing CDR


I used XP for almost fourteen years without a problem. Now that I have windows10 I haven't been able to add pictures to exist8ing cd's. No problems with data or music. I also cannot view the picture CD's. I double click burn to disc but nothing happens. I get a list but no way to view it. I get a notice,these files are ready....etc. but when I click on a folder to transfer new contents...nothing happens. I'm at a loss on how to procede. Any step by step would be greatlyb appreciated.

Figured it out but it is not obvious nor what we want I think. Here's the instructions from PCMag

On your PC, open Phone Link, go to the Apps tab and launch Samsung's My Files. A small window with the app will open, inside it, navigate to where in your phone you want to paste the files, then drag a folder/file from your PC to the My Files window to start the transfer...

The pictures go to wherever you send them BUT NOT TO PHOTOS! They are accessible via Phone Link but only through My Files app.

Nor are they accessible via Gallery which is where Photos usually show on you phone!

Come on either MSFT or Samsung get this working so when we want to show off our pictures we don't have to jump through these hoops. Allow them to be displayed via Gallery which is what we use to view photos!!!
