Windows 10: Microsoft ADFS Service not able to connect to ADFSConfigurationV3 database restore moved...

Hello Everyone,So I have 2 ADFSConfigurationV3 databases for two different locations that we are trying to host on a single server/same SQL instance.DB team has renamed second database ADFSConfigurationV3_suffix and we are trying to connect our current ADFS service to this new database name with suffix but ADFS service is not starting and throwing 1064 exception. I read somewhere that logical name and physical name of the DB files need to be same on new restored database so I went ahead and restored the DB with PrefixADFSConfigurationV3 and logical and physical file name as that name as well b

ADFS and renew Service-Communication certificat

My Problem is to renew the Service Communication Cert

I use adfs 3.0

language german

I already did that:

1. install the new cert under my computer with privat key and set full rights for the serviceaccount of adfs
2. execute Set-AdfsCertificate -CertificateType "Service-Communications" -Thumbprint
   1. I get the Error:
   et-AdfsCertificate : PS0022: Es wurde kein Zertifikat für den Verweis mit StoreName "My", StoreLocation "LocalMachine", FindType
   
   "FindByThumbprint" und FindValue
3. i reboot the System --> no success
4. i refer the thumbprint --> is correct
5. the cert is also on the correct store

any ideas?

ACT Pro 2013 will not open in Windows 10

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

The most likely causes on a standalone are a damaged or invalid .pad file or SQL is not running, or is damaged.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

    Click your Windows Start button, choose Run and type in actdiag.
    

• • 
    When ACT! Diagnostics comes up, click Databases, the Database List.
    

• • 
    Locate your database in the list, right-click on it and select Detach. Make sure you know the filepath to your database before detaching it.
    

• • 
    When the database has been detached, open My Computer (or Windows Explorer) and browse to the location of your database.
    

• • 
    Locate the .PAD file for your database [database name].pad and delete it.
    

• • 
    Reopen ACT!...you will get a message that the last database opened cannot found, then will be taken to the Open Database dialog box.
    

• • 
    At the bottom of this box, change the Files of Type to .adf, browse to the location of your database and double-click on the .adf file for your database.
    

• • 
    You will get a message that ACT! will verify your database, click OK and ACT will reattach your database to SQL and create a new .pad file.
