Windows 10: How to enable HDMI sound with Astro a50x on win 11? TY

Hello everyone hope this question finds you well, I have an Astro a50x headset and im trying to enable the HDMI sound but when I go to control panel then sound settings it only displays me the usb connection. I have a razer laptop with win 11. Let me know if any of you knows a solution. thank you so much.

Can I play sound from my speakers and the HDMI at the same time on Win 10?

I already fixed this issue when I still had Win 8 with these steps (also found from here)

• Open Sound panel
• Select Speakers as the default playback device
• Go to the "Recording" tab
• Right click and enable "Show Disabled Devices"
• A recording device called "Wave Out Mix", "Mono Mix" or "Stereo Mix" (this was my case) should appear
• Right click on the new device and click "Enable"
• Right click on the new device and click "Set as Default Device"
• Double click on the new device to open the Properties window
• Go to the "Listen" tab
• Click on the "Listen to this device" checkbox
• Select your HDMI device from the "Playback through this device" list

But now I'm using Win 10 and these steps dont work for me anymore...

Is there another way to fix this? Would really help me!

 

no sound through hdmi to tv

Hi,

The HDMI might not be set as default. To set this as default please follow these steps:

• Go to Control Panel.
• Select Hardware and Sound.
• Choose Sound.
• Select Change system sounds.
• Click Playback.
• Then select the device.
• At the bottom, click Set Default.
• Click Apply and OK.

If the troubleshooting steps above did not work for you, try changing a different HDMI cable.
