Hello, We use WSUS to push Windows updates to the servers in our domain. For all the servers we have running Windows 2016, the May 2025 cumulative update KB5058383 won't install; it's failing. The update is found by the servers, it installs, and requires a reboot to complete, but once the server restarts, it says "installation failed." In the event log, it says: "Failed to switch package KB5058383 to installed state. Status: 0x80070005." We tried downloading and installing the update directly from Microsoft, and it's the same, even if we install the package downloaded from the Microsoft

I tried resetting windows update using command prompt and followed all the steps as mentioned but still cumulative patches are failing with error code 0x80070005, meanwhile i will try to share CBS.log file for more detailed analysis.
