    Opening Word in Office 2024 - Fan speed ramps up


    I frequently use a MS Word file that exceeds a 700 page count. When the file is opened, the fans, likely video card fan accelerates in speed. Smaller files to not case that situation.Is there a setting that can prevent that noise in this new system?Thank you.

    fan ramping up

    Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    It is normal for the fans to ramp up if you open a game if your power plan is set to Balanced, you have Intel integrated graphics on you Intel CPU, and to play games, your processor will speed up and will also heat up, if you set your power plan to Power Saver, you may experience problems playing games.
