Windows 10: Chrome opens Minimized or In a Small Window

Saw other threads that were closed and wanted to share my solution.I had two desktops open lol.Just Three-Finger-Swipe Up in your trackpad and close the ones you are not using.Hope this helps!

unable to open chrome except for a small window

When I click on the Google Chrome icon at the bottom of the screen, just a small window opens. I have tried a few suggestions in order to get my usual big screen, but nothing has worked so far.

I tried expanding the small screen with arrows on the corner but it won't work with this small page. I also tried opening PROPERTIES and under run made sure is was maximized. Still no luck. so I have basically given up on chrome and Microsoft edge is my new choice. I like chrome and have never had a problem until now, but unless someone has an idea that works, I will be sticking with EDGE.

Is there anyone out there who has a work around for this problem or should I just give up on it?

 

Programs run minimized on task bar

First it was chrome then a week or so later Excel started doing it. The program open and they show on the task bar if you move the curser over them you can see that the program is open but you can not enlarge the small window the controls for enlarge and
minimize do not show only an x to close. I do not know of any software changes unless there was an update for something.

I tried the steps you outlined and they had no effect.

Thanks for the help, any other suggestions? I am lost without my excel!

 

chrome will not open

IK reinstalled the KB and a Silverlight update, no luck. I tried to remove chrome , again, using the suggested tool. Chrome was not on the list, I selected not listed. It wanted the product code. A quick internet search did not find it. I removed chrome
using the add and remove programs.,reinstalled chrome and ran the clean up tool, no malware. chrome now opens.. I have signed in and it is working. The second removal worked. thx
