Windows 10: serial port not opening ..

Im trying to use betaflight to connect a flight board and i get an error saying "cant open serial port". ive installed drivers through zadig and might have put wrong ones in and cant figure out which one ..if i do a full reset on laptop will it uninstall those drivers and reinstall the proper ones after reset???? getting desperate

If you want to change the port settings, please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Open Device manager (right click on start button
   and then on Device manager).
   
2. Then expand port (COMS & LPT).
   
3. Then right click on Prolific USB-to Serial Comm Port and then on properties.
   
4. Go to port settings and click on Advanced.
   
5. You will be able to make the changes on this screen.

Thanks for helping. I have done the steps but still unable to connect the serial to this router. Devices and Printers only ever shows generic PnP monitor. PuTTy just shows unable to open the serial port.

 

Hyper-V serial port

Hi

We have

Hyper-V Manager version: 10.0.18362.1

installed on Windows 10. We need to use serial port on victual machine, but could not get correct configuration. We tried some suggestions from internet, such as remote logon the virtual machine and use the serial port on host computer. It does not work neither.
What is the best way to get serial port on Hyper-V virtual machine?
