Windows 10: Wireless Mouse Not Connecting to Laptop via USB Dongle

I'm facing an issue with my wireless mouse. When I connect it to my laptop using the USB dongle, the system detects the device and lists it as "2.4G Mouse" under input devices. However, there's a "Driver error" message shown, and the mouse doesn't respond—there’s no cursor movement at all.Interestingly, when I connect the same mouse to the laptop using Bluetooth, it works perfectly fine without any issues. This suggests that the mouse itself is functional, and the problem seems to be related to the USB dongle driver.I've already tried switching USB ports, reinserting the dongle, and restarting

Hi all, I recently had my daughters desktop down to clean and format all went well until I tried to connect to the internet, it will only connect through the cable I tried the usb wireless dongle I have but it couldn't find the drivers so I left it thinking when she pluged In her usb wireless dongle it would find it but she is getting the same message, would it be better to get her a wireless card, she has BT fibre up to 40mbps, if so any sugestions.

The Microsoft mouse and keyboard sets are specifically linked to that USB dongle, no other mouse will link up to that USB dongle, because it would be coded differently.

If you have Bluetooth on your PC, then you can buy a Bluetooth mouse, and that would not need any USB dongle to work, it is only a Wireless mouse that needs a USB dongle.

I tried this and not worked. Also I tried this mouse different 4 laptops and it's work perfectly other laptops. Also I tried different 2 mouse on my laptop and they not work on my laptop again.
