Windows 10: Sound Output Problem while Connecting Earbuds

Dear Microsoft Support Team,I am encountering an issue with my Bluetooth earbuds on my device running Windows. Although the earbuds connect successfully via Bluetooth, there is no sound output through them. I have attempted to troubleshoot this by switching to a different pair of earbuds, but the issue remains the same—there is still no audio once they are connected.I have verified that the earbuds are selected as the default playback device, and I have also tried restarting the system and checking volume settings. Bluetooth earbuds is connected but no sound

Hi,

My laptop running on Win11 can successfully detect my bluetooth headset and I can see the input volume bar move automatically but not for output one and there is no sound. When I use Troubleshooting to detect and fix sound issues, the problem is temporarily resolved until I close the Troubleshooting window. It looks like I need to run the sound troubleshooting and leave the window open so the earbuds can work. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that you are having problems with your wireless earbuds.

May I please know if those earbuds work on another device?

While the earbuds are connected please try to follow the steps below.

Please hover your mouse to the sound icon at the lower right-hand corner then right-click it and click Troubleshoot Sound. Let the troubleshooter finish until it's done then this should either fix the problem or give us an error message.

If that doesn't work, we need to remove the Audio driver from the Device Manager and restart the PC to reinstall it.

Here are the steps to completely remove a Device from your computer.

Step 1. Use shortcut keys Windows key+ X.

Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Sound, Video, and Game Controllers Right-click the problematic device it is either Realtek Audio, or AMD High-definition Audio or High-Definition Audio this varies on the audio device installed in your PC, and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device and then click the Uninstall button.

Step 5. Reboot the computer.

After the reboot, please see if the problem is fixed.

If that still does not work, please visit the support website of your laptop or desktop and then download and install the latest Audio driver then restart the PC.
