    Hi, i have spent numerous hours with the Microsoft support team and they have now redirected me to you, to seek assistance from the Microsoft Family Safety Specialists.I am trying to change the birth date of my Microsoft account provided under my email address, as it is set is currently set to my sons birthday, hence thinking i am 8 years old. This account is the family organiser who granted consent for my child Henry as well as my other account provided under my mobile number. The Microsoft account provided under my mobile number is my Microsoft account and has my correct date of birth. It is

    Microsoft family - change Childs date of birth

    Hi all

    how can I change the date of birth of a child in my microsoft family account. I'm stuck in a loop of selecting "manage my child's profile information" then to the "manage permissions" page - which tells me that in some places only adult members of the 'family'
    can alter information.

    Below this is a link to 'view your family settings' which takes me back to the microsoft family 'homepage' for our family

    How can I fix this

    How to change birth date of the child account?

    I am unable to change the date of birth of my child's account, which was entered incorrectly.

    The date of birth currently set is 2011 (which is should be 2002).

    I have followed the instructions on this page:

    How to change a birth date on a Microsoft account

    As the account is set to 12 years old, the child is under the statutory age for my country.

    The steps above say to perform the following actions for a child under the age of consent:

    1. Using the adult Microsoft account, sign in to your account on family.microsoft.com.
    2. Choose the family member, select then Manage consent.
    3. In the Manage permissions page of the child’s account you want to change, at the right, select Edit this child's personal info and then follow the instructions.
    In step 3, the Manage permissions page does not show "Edit this child's personal info". instead, it simply shows the below screen.

    Change adult birth date to a childs birthdate.

    If you set up an account with an adult birth date, then try to change it to a child's birth date, it will tell you you can't. I Changed my childs birth date to adult to access some things and now I
    want to change it back to child. I'm beyond frustrated. Please help me!
