    Hello everyone,I had someone raise this and was wondering if this is just a Windows bug or something entirely overlooked. The user does not prefer to have the taskbar button and labels combined and has made the settings to fit according to the needs. As you can see in the screenshot below, there are labels showing for some apps and it does not combine tabs into one group E.g.: The two Microsoft Word files This user does however run many tabs at once given that the user has to work with emails and a few other documents.That's the background but the main question is, why does Windows open a se

    Hi Kevin,

    With regard to your query about the system tray, we suggest that you follow the steps below and see if it helps.

    • Right-click on an empty space in your desktop taskbar and select Properties.
    • In the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window, find the selection labeled
      Notification Area and click on Customize.
    • Click on Turn system icons on or off.
    • If you'd like to always show all icons, turn the slider window to On.
    • Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.

    That's the thing - I want to keep the application open on the desktop, I just don't want the taskbar button to be so large.

    Kindly try the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Locate the eject button near the disc tray. This button is usually directly to the left or right of the disc tray.
    • Press the eject button firmly and quickly. The tray should slide open.
    • Press the eject button a second time to close the disc tray.
    If the above steps doesn't work try the below.

    • Open This PC.
    • Right click on DVD drive.
    • Click on Eject to open the drive.
    If this doesn't help, I suggest you to contact Toshiba support for further assistance.
