    I'm experiencing an issue with my laptop/PC speakers. When I play videos on YouTube or other browser-based services, the volume is very low—even though I have set both the YouTube player and the system volume to 100%. However, when I play the movies , video or audio file using VLC Media Player, I can hear it clearly after increasing VLC’s volume to 200%.System Information: Operating System: Windows 11 Browser: Google ChromeDevice: IdeaPad Slim 5Audio Driver Version: 3.48.34.9

    Volume from speakers on HP laptop too low. Pavilion G7 1260us

    I can get louder volume from the speakers, so they are not worn out or blown, by

    using VLC app to play mp4 and mp3 files. The VLC app can output at up to 200%

    according to their scale.

    YouTube volume

    Another solution for low audio levels while listening to YouTube is to listen or watch using VLC player. I find many YouTube videos have low audio level and VLC Player always has more than enough gain without maxing out the volume. VLC Player can be used to open any video url and will play almost any format of audio or video.

    Audio volume cannot be changed while Youtube Video is playing.

    Bug Reproduction Steps:

    • Use Bing to search any video
    • IE10 goes to the Youtube
    • Play Youtube Video
    • Even the audio volume is up to the max or down to zero, you still can't feel volume changed.
    • If I long press "<-" hardware back button to go to App Switch Screen, and change the volume at App Switch Screen. Thus, the volume of the Youtube Video will be changed.
