Windows 10 frequently crashes and becomes unresponsive during normal usage.I am currently facing a serious and persistent issue with my Windows 10 system. The system frequently becomes unresponsive or crashes during routine tasks like browsing the internet, working on Microsoft Office applications, or watching videos. The PC randomly freezes or shows a blue screen BSOD without any warning.Sometimes, applications stop responding and I have to manually shut them down using Task Manager, which itself often fails to open. There are long delays when booting up or shutting down the system.Occasional

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Unresponsive, crashes, just keeps on loading

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that the computer becomes unresponsive or crash sometimes, I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.

    However, please let us know:

    • When you say “My laptop kept on crashing”, do you receive a Blue screen error?
    • What is the make and model of the computer?
    • Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
    • Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer
Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

I would suggest you to perform a clean boot on the computer and see if the computer becomes unresponsive or crash.

Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer.
However, that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.

To perform a clean boot on the computer refer to the article How to perform a
    clean boot in Windows
    .

If performing a clean boot fixes the issue then, please refer to the section
How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot
to check which program is causing the issue.

Note: Please refer the section Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting
to boot the computer in to normal mode after troubleshooting.

I would also suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article

Let us know how it goes.
