Windows 10: D:\MSCFW32.DLL error when installing an older game

Hello,I am trying to install an older cd game from 1997 on my windows 11 but I keep getting error code for D:\MSVFW32.dll. I have tried DISM check, SFC check, Check Disc, and then finally I did a co pledge reset of windows and nothing has worked. All windows uodates have been installed. I am on windows 11 home 64bit, and the dvd drive is an external drive. The external drive works with the other cds I have and I can see the files of the game I am trying to install. Please help.

This might occur when some of the DLL file is missing from the application.

I suggest you to Uninstall the game and try installing it again and check if it helps.

Missing binkw23.dll from Windows 10, when trying to install a game.

Binkw32.dll error might occur in different ways. The error normally occurs in following ways:

• 
  Binkw32.dll is missing
  
• 
  Binkw32.dll not found
  

Most of the time, the error occurs when you try to install or play the game having Bink Video codec. The error could be due to cracked version of games.



I suggest you to contact to game manufacturer, download and install the complete version of the game and check if it helps.
