Windows 10: Cannot Download Item Due to "Virus Scan Failed"

I can't get rid of the "virus scan failed" notification whenever I try to download Anki. I have attempted all the things to turn this setting off that I have seen on other forums but none of those options apply to my laptop

Downloading files - VIRUS SCAN FAILED

Hi Everyone,

I keep getting the message VIRUS SCAN FAILED when I try and download files from all sites on the internet.

However can download Windows Updates.

Any suggestions would be extremely welcomed.

Thank you for your prompt response, I will attempt the suggestion you listed in your response. I'll keep you apprised of the result.

In answer to your question, It was the same continuous error. Virus scan failed. As changing that particular setting didn't do anything, still same error.
