Windows 10: None of My SD Card, USB Sticks, SSD Storage Devices, USB-Charging Port Working in my...

I have an HP Envy 16-Inch Laptop running Windows 11. I use my laptop daily to access photos I take I'm an photography hobbyist and up until two days ago I was able to plug in my older Kingston SD card reader into the USB port and access the inserted SD card. The drive would appear with no issue. I was also able to use my Sony CF Express card reader into the USB-C port with no issue two days ago, as well as my SSD 4 GB drives into the USB port. Now, suddenly none of the ports on the right side of my laptop work, except for the Power Port so the battery is still recharging. The readers do

USB/SD Card to Photo Gallery


I import pictures from my sd card via a usb stick - when I insert the usb into the pc photo gallery launches and asks me what device I want to import from. On my pc the usb/sd card device is always f:/ (I always use the same port). Is there a way of telling win10 that when ever I plug my usb/sd combo into the same port it launches photo gallery without asking me what device to import from?

 

usb ports not recognising devices

Hi, for some reason all my usb ports have stopped recognising devices. The USB ports will still provide power, ie, I can charge my iphone but they wont recognise anything else. mouse, keyboard, docking station etc.

I have tried.

1. updating drivers
   
2. unisnatlling and reinstalling drivers
   
3. adjusting power settings
   

Nothing seems to work, any suggestions would be very welcome.

One of the USB ports of my desktop PC only recognizes storage devices

It would be good to eliminate hardware problems, too (switch USB connections on motherboard and check if the same USB in front doesn't work).
