when i try to install any software it asks me type the password of the administrator but the typing bor doesnt shows and there is only one option 'NO'.Please help me

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.

To install any new apps/software to the system we need an administrator privilege. If you are in a Local account and wants to install any applications/software you need an administrator password. However, we can change the account type from Local account to
Admin account.

I suggest you to change the account type to administrator account by following the steps below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X.
• Select Control Panel.
• Click on User accounts.
• Under make changes to your account, click on Manage another account.
• Select the account which you want to change.
• Now click on change the account type.
• Select Administrator and click on Change the Account Type to
  change the account type to administrator account.
• Now check if you are able to install application/software.

To which "this" are you referring?
- If you are following the tutorial Bree suggested in the very first reply to your question then what you need to do at each step is explained in detail. So which step are you at?
- If you are following a different procedure then state what it is and which step you are at. If, for example, you are trying to manually enable the Built-In Admin as suggested in post #11 then that account has no password.

Why Administrator account has password?

Hi there

I have some problem

I need to install some software on my computer, but it require to login the administrator account.

So I type on command prompt "net user administrator /active :yes".

But when I want to login in administrator account, it ask for password.
-I've activated the administrator account before numerous times but it never ask for password

-I've tried to fill the password with my user password (My user type is administrator) but it doesn't work.

-I tried to disable the administrator user (by type "net user administrator /active :no") and then re-activate (by type "net

user administrator /active :yes") but it doesn;t work
-I tried to change the password by open computer management ->local user and group->user->administrator->right

click-> set password and change the passwor, but when I login it says "Windows can't sign into your account".
And when I disable and reactivate again the password have change and I have to do this step again to login.

-I also tried to change the password when I login the administrator account by open settings->account->sign in option->

and change the password, but now the administrator couldn't be disable by type "net user administrator /active :no" on cmd

Any suggestion to fix this?
