Windows 10: Bitlocker incorrect password

I found my recovery key for Bitlocker and I’ve typed it in and checked about 100 times and it keeps saying incorrect someone please help me it’s so annoying and I don’t wanna lose everything on my computer

BitLocker Incorrect Password

I have a Thinkpad T440s w/ Windows 10 Professional. Recently Bitlocker has stopped accepting my password. After I turn off and on the computer a couple times it finally accepts my password. I type in my password every day but it is long so I thought maybe
I am not typing it in correctly. So a week ago I changed it to something extremely simple (7 characters) just to test it out and ensure I wasn't entering it wrong. This worked fine for about a week. Then today I turn on the computer enter my easy password
and it says it's incorrect. I turn off the computer multiple times but it still won't accept my password. Finally I had to use my recovery key. So now I don't know what to do. My password is clearly correct but Bitlocker sometimes accepts it and sometimes
does not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Please follow these steps and check if that helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to start the BitLocker Device Encryption service.

Follow the below steps:

1. Press Windows key + R from the Keyboard.

2. Type services.msc and hit Enter.

3. Search for BitLocker Device Encryption service.

4. Double click on BitLocker Device Encryption service and click on Start button.

5. Click on the dropdown list and set the Startup type to Automatic.

If the issue persists then change the password and change the settings on how drive is unlocked at startup.

We suggest to change it from Control Panel. You may follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Select Control Panel.
• Click BitLocker Drive Encryption.
• Click Unlock drive.
• Type your present password and click Unlock.
• The drive will be unlocked and you will notice more links on the right of that particular unlocked drive, click
  Change password.
• Now, you may type your Old password, New password and Confirm new password.
• Click Change password.
