Windows 10: Can't install minecraft from my account on a new pc.

My daughter was playing minecraft from my laptop but now she has her own PC. I'm logged in the same MS account that has the game purchased on but when I try everything check downloads, library, even downloded the trial version hoping I could unlock the full game with my account info Nothing...I read everywhere that it can even be installed into 10 different computer/devices and that you don't have to buy it again. What I've also tried with no results1. If you are able to open MS Store, open MS Store > Click on your profile picture on top right and sign-out. Then sign-in again.2. Reset W

Minecraft installation on PC

We understand the concern as you are unable to install Minecraft on your PC.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed on the PC? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?
• How are you installing the Minecraft game? (Microsoft Store/online)
• Did you purchase Minecraft Java edition or Windows edition?
• Are you getting any error message, while installing the game?
  

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform try these steps and check, if you are installing Minecraft Windows edition.

Step 1:
Reset the Windows Store Cache

Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the
Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

Note:
A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close and Microsoft Store will open automatically.

Step 2:
Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

Select the Start button, and then select Settings>Update & Security
> Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run
the troubleshooter.

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

 

How to install Minecraft on Win11 child account

I own a copy of Minecraft, and also previously purchased one for my child as well several years ago. On our old Windows 10 PC, either I or the child could play. Now I have a new PC. I was able to install Minecraft and use it on my account.

However I cannot figure out how to get the app installed on the child's account.

In the store it reports it is 'Owned' but there is no button to install or play it. There does not appear to be a way to 'ask for permission' to install either. Same for the "Microsoft Launcher"

In Microsoft Family in the list of "allowed apps", "Minecraft for windows 10" is there.
