Windows 10: Pc shutting down while gaming after changing virtual memory

A while ago i changed the virtual memory of my pc because i was told it would increase performance. After i changed it my computer would shut down totally, almost like every single thing connected to it would disconnect. I changed it back for obvious reasons, but the problem continued. Crashes can happen at random on certain games, usually while just playing, or if i do a spesific action like in counter strike 2, where if i inspect a weapon it immidiatly crashes my whole computer. Some games causes a crash, while others dont. I also noticed that if i turn down the quality of my games to minimi

1. Open System Properties:

• Right-click on "This computer" or "My computer" icon and select "Properties".

• In the System Properties window, click "Advanced System Settings" on the left side.
  

3. View the performance settings:

• Under the "Advanced" tab of the "System Properties" window, click "Settings" in the "Performance" section.
  

4. Open the virtual memory settings:

• In the "Performance Options" window, click on the "Advanced" tab, then locate the "Virtual Memory" section and click "Change". Click "Change".
  

Adjust the virtual memory to the size you want to use.

how to disable virtual memory

Hi,

The virtual memory pagefile can be disable using the command prompt, you must be signed in as an administrator. Kindly follow these steps:

• Press Windows key + R to open the Run window.
• Type CMD to open the command prompt.
• Copy and paste this command: fsutil behavior set encryptpagingfile 0.
• Once done, restart your PC to apply the changes made.

Virtual memory for games

Greetings,

I've got 4 gigs of ram on my laptop and I want more virtual memory for my games.

I got 2 partitions:

C for windows and software

D is for video games and some other stuff

For which drive do I set the virtual memory ? (C or D)

How much initial size and how much for maximum size ?

Running win10 home x64
