Windows 10: How Can I Protect Files and Folders Against OneDrive?

A friend of mine lost all her documents while trying to set up Windows 11.Luckily, she didn't lose her backups too.To begin with, she transferred them from her backup drive. But they went to the standard Documents Folder, so OneDrive took them all off her computer.We tried to turn off OneDrive syncing. I can't recall the exact instructions, but they involved turning off Files on Demand, and the OneDrive Settings Menu said it would restore the files, and instead they disappeared from both.We tried to create another Documents2 Folder, which wasn't part of OneDrive, and restore her files from h

What is Protected Folder for Ranaware?

For windows 10, under Windows security > Ranaware protection > Control Folder for access, if I add a filepath into this lists, I would like to know on how windows can protect files within given specific folder.

I get a script folder, such as F:\script, which contain executed files, and Anti-virus may trigger a false alarm and delete those files, if I add F:\script filepath into above control folder lists, would those executed file be deleted by Anti-virus under
this situation?

Furthermore, I get some setting files, that should be protected for edited as well, can the feature of control folder protect those files as well?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

onedrive duplicating my folders...

Hi.

Again, onedrive is going crazy and is duplicating my main folder, full of subfolders. It's locking me out of all my files. I have windows 10, Office 365 home. I paused synch at the moment before I have 1000 copy of my folder, which I can't open anyway!
Please don't ask me any question that will further delay the repair. Simply give me a step by step solution and then improve onedrive so this won't happen again to so many of us. I suggest you also add "onedrive" in the list of "Windows Topics" below since
thousands of users have issues with it.
