Windows 10: Laptop turning off, randomly

I was just watching a mogie when my laptop just powered off randomly, when it was at 50%, granted battery life is quite less. I plugged it in again, powered it up, got through the signing in screen and lowered the lid for a second, laptop turned off. I did it again, whenever a certain amount of time passes or I close the lid my laptop randomly turns off, what to do? I cant even run sfc /scannow because it has some unknown trigger and happens happens after only a little amount of time

I dont get any errors when the laptop restarts, but it happens randomly and instantly everything shuts down with no warning. Its not like a restart because it doent say restart it just turn off. And sometimes switches ot self back on.

I dont think I have downloaded any applications to cause the problem.

Te problem happens randomly, i think most of the time when im using the internet or using cpu heavy applications. But i think it happens randomly.

I tried the troubleshootin and it doest have the wifi adapter when it randomly shuts down. It just shows ethernet and bluetooth adapter. When i restart it again wifi works.

 

Laptop turns off randomly

I use Open_hardware_monitor Extract to C:\Program Files (x86)\HardwareMonitor and run openhardwaremonitor.exe. Under options you can set to run on startup.

I have a 10 Year laptop that was overheating. I opened the case and removed the heat sink. It was completely clogged with dust.

If you use a vacuum cleaner or compressed air, use something to block the fan to prevent over spin

 

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
