How can I change the saturation back to normal on Windows 11?

When I first got my laptop about 3 months ago, I changed the saturation settings somehow to make it darker since I usually have my lights off, but now it makes things hard to see in gameplay. I remember the menu being completely white and having a "Next" button on the bottom of it if that helps with what I found and used.

I understand that you are facing issues with Color saturation on the computer, we will look into this for you. However, in order to get to the root cause of the issue, please reply with the following details:

    • Does this issue occur only while playing games?
    • Have you downloaded the games from Microsoft Store?
    • What is the make and model of the computer?

You can refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below and see if that helps:

    Method 1: Updating drivers

      Device Manager.
    2. Expand Display adapters.
    3. Right click on the display driver and select

      Taskbar and open it.

  3. Windows 11 welcome screen photos are over-saturated

Mosken_L, thanks very much for getting back to me. HDR is not turned on. I tried several of my own photos on lock screen and sign-in windows, and there is only a small degree of increased saturation. Nothing that would account for the unappealing over-saturation of the Spotlight images, unless they are that way on purpose. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

PS: I haven't yet tried the clean reboot. I will.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

Method 1: Please run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter:

    Try the followings steps:

    • Click "Search" and type "Troubleshooting" without quotes and hit enter.

    • Click “Hardware and Sound”

    • Select "Hardware and Devices"

    • Click next to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: If it was working fine in Windows 8.1 i suggest you to install Audio drivers in Windows 8 compatibility mode.

    Try the following steps:

    • Download the Windows 8.1 drivers, Right click on them and click on compatibility tab

    • Click on Compatibility tab

    • Check the option "Run the programs in compatibility" chose Windows 8 from the drop down

    • Click Apply and OK.

      Hope this helps.
