Windows 10: Why won’t my laptop let me sign in ?

My laptop won’t let me sign in, it says ‘your pin is required to sign in’ yet bellow says ‘something happened and your pin isn’t available. Click to set up your pin again’. When I click to set up my pin again nothing happens. I can’t remember my password but I can remember my pin and I have finger print activation as well. I have windows ten recently updated to my laptop. I am now unable to use my laptop at all, and all in a time where I desperately need to use it

Hp laptop screen won’t display except occasionally

I would like to note that step 20 comes up with no files. Perhaps this could be the source of the issues?
