    Windows 11 forced update issue


    I bought an ASUS Vivobook from Amazon about 18 months ago and it came pre-loaded with Windows 11 Home.However, since all these Microsoft updates, it now says to Activate Windows 11 Pro as my Windows key isn't valid. Of course it's not as it's valid for Home edition and not Pro edition, but I can't find the licence key anywhere for the Home edition!I also have the annoying Activate Windows in the bottom right hand corner and can't go back to a previous version either.

    Definitely not an issue with the Windows Servers as I just re-installed yesterday and got all my updates.

    It works, but I still need to fix it so that way I dont have to plug computers directly to the modem to get windows update to work. It was also blocking me from installing directx.

    If your wireless router has a built in firewall maybe it's somehow set to block the ports that Windows updates use?

    I'd also suggest if it works with it being directly connected then you could try resetting your router to see if this fixes the issue.

    That's my 2 cents anyways. *Smile Windows 11 forced update issue :)
