    What if your linked parent’s account is Gmail?


    I want to send a request to my parent to use dailymotion as I’m underage, but it’s not going to my parent’s gmail inbox. How is my parent supposed to login to their account to approve my request if it’s from my Microsoft account but it’s their gmail account that’s linked to mine?

    Thanks to bro67...Interestingly enough the Gmail link to this forum reply actually worked, as did your link to "How to Fix....." I tried steps 1 and 2 without success. Step 3 gave me the following screen, which didn't look like the article described. At any rate, the probem is unchanged...screenshot follows.

    What if your linked parent’s account is Gmail?

    Add gmail account to outlook without text message verification?

    A screenshot might help us identify whether it is MS or gmail that is responsible for this (my guess is gmail). The MS instructions you linked to say that no verification should be required if 2FA (in gmail) is off.
    I suggest you turn on 2FA in gmail, and try again.
